ACTION PLAN FOR IOU PROMOTION

Please try to promote the Islamic Online University (IOU) for online Islamic studies in your city and region. I would like you to take the responsibility of marketing the university in your country.

The following are a few suggestions of possible steps to take, after familiarizing yourself with the IOU by going to the website and reading all the information there and registering yourself. Any questions you have can be directed to Assistant Dean, at asst.dean@islamiconlineuniversity.com

1. It is also possible to set up study centers at local institutions where students can save on internet costs.

2. The embedded video promo at the end of this mail can circulated among your contacts to promote the IOU. Ask your contacts to circulate it among their contacts.

3. I would suggest attending conferences and seminars by setting up a booth to distribute flyers and information. Print out copies of the IOU brochure and make postcard sized flyers for easy distribution. All costs will be borne by the IOU.

4. Contact Islamic International Schools, and others where Muslims students study and give presentations and or distribute leaflets.

5. Meet with Muslim student associations on campus at local universities and learning institutes.

6. Put posters in the various Muslim owned businesses and institutions around the city, the mosques, and schools. Try to engage popular Muslim spokesmen and spokeswomen in informing their followers.

7. Use the databases of these institutions to send the flyer and promo video on the net. Etc. etc.

8. Place ads in local newspapers and magazines periodically. Arrange interviews and press releases to utilize free advertisement.

9. Put ads on local radio and TV stations which are listened to or watched by English speaking locals.

10. Make an action plan for advertisement and marketing based on priorities and indicate the time periods required for execution for each effort.
